Global Parking Systems Ito (HILO) Operations’ administrative offices are located at 2450 Kekuanaoa Street, Hilo, HI 96720.
Scope of Position
The Cashier position involves customer interface at a specific facility or location. The individual selected for the Cashier position assists in the day-to-day parking lot cash handling operation of Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport, utilizes a quality customer service orientation, receives payment from customers for parking services and facilitates the flow of traffic through the gate.
Essential Functions
To perform the Cashier position successfully, an individual must be able to perform satisfactorily perform each essential duty and responsibility listed below with little supervision:
· Responsible for being at work every scheduled day and on time
· Counts “bank” of revenue at beginning of shift to ensure starting total is correct
· Collects cash and/or validations and maintains security of cash
· Makes change and issues receipts or tickets to customers for each transaction
· Compute or re-computes the bill from the ticket showing the amount due per customer
· Operates cash register after time calculation (manually or by machine), calculates cost or transaction and displays cost of customer transaction on cash register
· Quotes prices for parking services for which money is received upon customer receipt
· Gives directions to customers to various locations in the city
· Completes lost ticket forms when original tickets cannot be located
· Resolve customer complaints independently or with the aid of a supervisor
· Answers telephone in a prompt and courteous manner
· Maintains cleanliness of booth and picks up trash in the surrounding area
· Conducts timely checks to see if a proper inventory of necessary work aids and supplies is located in the booth
· Verifies log of shift transactions against bank of “revenue” on hand
· Compiles “bank” of collected revenue during the day once a predetermined amount of money has been collected
· Record amounts received, cars in/out of facility, cars left in a facility (if applicable) while preparing shift report of transactions
· Any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor
Starting Hourly Rate of Pay
The starting rate of pay for the Cashier position is $17.00 hourly.

· Employees work in and around potentially dangerous traffic situations
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be safety conscious at all times
· Employees are regularly exposed to fumes from either vehicles or airplanes
· The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
Position Status and Availability
The individual selected for the Cashier position must be available to work a full-time shift including weekends, holidays and overnight if the primary shift is an overnight shift.
The garage location, schedule and shift may be subject to change to meet operational and/or client demands and needs.

Training Courses

Education Requirements
The individual selected for the Cashier position must possess a:
· High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
· At least one (1) year of previous Cashier experience preferably in a parking garage
· At least one (1) year of previous cash handling experience
· At least one (1) year of customer service experience
