Supply Chain Coordinator - (Freight Forwarding & Logistics)
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Coordinator with hands-on experience in freight forwarding, logistics coordination, and shipment tracking. This role supports daily operations by ensuring shipments move efficiently from supplier to customer while maintaining accurate documentation and communication across teams.
This is a process-driven role requiring strong organization, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments
- Work directly with freight forwarders, carriers, and brokers
- Track shipments from origin to delivery and resolve delays proactively
- Review and manage shipping documents (BOL, POD, packing lists, invoices)
- Communicate shipment status to internal teams and customers
- Monitor freight costs and flag discrepancies
- Support inventory coordination and order fulfillment timelines
- Maintain organized shipment records in shared systems (Google Drive, ERP, etc.)
- Assist with issue resolution related to delays, damages, or discrepancies
Required Qualifications
- 2 years experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination
- Experience working with freight forwarders and carriers
- Strong understanding of shipping documentation (BOL, POD, invoices)
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under time-sensitive conditions
- Proficient in Google Sheets / Excel
- Preferred
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP
- Experience in food distribution, packaging, or manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with import/export processes
