Key Responsibilities- Promptly respond to towing calls for heavy-duty vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
- Operate wrecker trucks to recover and transport vehicles and equipment, following proper safety protocols.
- Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness.
- Provide exemplary customer service during towing services, addressing client needs and concerns effectively.
- Accurately document towing operations, including mileage, condition of vehicles, and service details.
- Adhere to all company policies as well as local, state, and federal regulations in towing operations.
- Assist with loading and unloading of heavy equipment as necessary.
- Stay current with industry best practices and advancements in towing techniques.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for heavy-duty vehicle operation.
- Previous experience driving heavy-duty wreckers or similar towing equipment is essential.
- In-depth understanding of heavy-duty vehicle operations and towing safety protocols.
- Proven safe driving history with a clean driving record.
- Ability to quickly assess situations and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Physical capability to handle heavy lifting and demanding rescue situations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts during weekends and holidays.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics is a plus.
