Non-CDL Commercial Driver + Facility Support

Global Organic Distro is a national cannabis company based in Minneapolis, MN. We manufacture our beloved house brands in the wellness, beauty, and beverage spaces: BLNCD Naturals and Foundry Nation.

The Non-CDL Commercial Driver Facility Support role plays a critical part in our operations and requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude.

This position involves working cross-departmentally to ensure our operations run smoothly and that our products reach customers safely and efficiently by doing the following:

• Safely transporting our goods in our 26’ box truck
• Supporting the warehouse and manufacturing departments

The Driver portion will be the priority; however, it will take up only about 25% of your time, as it revolves around our beverage production schedule. The high-frequency routes are within 3 hours of the metro.

The role does NOT require overnight or weekend availability, nor a CDL.

Facility Support involves working in the shipping department, picking and packing orders, building pallets, conducting inventory counts, assisting sales and events with event prep and closeout, and maintaining a clean, organized warehouse.

You will also work on the production line in our various labs to package and pack out our products.

DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspect Truck Before and After Each Trip
• Accurately Complete Required Logs Sheets
• Ensure Cargo is Loaded, Checked, and Safely Secured During Transit
• Assist and Oversee Loading and Unloading of Cargo
• Monitor Oversee Maintenance and Repair of the Truck
• Provide Excellent Service by Communicating Professionally and Representing the Company Positively at All Times
• Responsible for Following All Federal, State, Local, and Company Rules to Comply with Applicable Laws
• Stand and Sit for Long Periods while Focusing on Repetitive, Detail-Oriented Tasks such as Filling, Labeling, and Packaging
• Monitor Product Quality and Effectively Report Problems
• Maintain a Clean and Organized Work Environment
• Other Duties as Assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1 Years of Commercial Driving Experience in the Last 3 Years
• Demonstrate Reliability, Adaptability, and Dependability
• Must be Flexible, Work Well Independently, and have a Team-Oriented Approach
• Thoroughness and Attention to Detail in Task Completion
• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
• Able to Learn New Technology Tools and Applications as Needed to Support Your Work
• Great Attitude and Solution-Oriented

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Working in a High-Volume Distribution or Manufacturing
• 6 to 12 months’ of verifiable safe driving, light-duty box truck or cargo van
• Working knowledge of regional traffic patterns, shortcut routing, and GPS or delivery logistics apps.
• Background in warehousing, heavy lifting, and defensive driving
• Drives and Operates Material Handling Equipment: Forklift, Pallet Jacks, etc
• Loading & Securing Cargo: Hands-on experience tying down freight, using hand-trucks, or operating a forklift.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 21 Years of Age
• Valid State-Issued Driver’s License
• Clean Driving Record
• Must Pass MN Department of Transportation Physical
• Flexible Early Morning Shifts
• Ability to Drive in All Elements of Weather
• Professional communication for commercial drop-offs
• Proven ability to stick to tight multi-stop delivery or appointment windows.
• Ability to Sit and/or Stand for Extended Periods While Maintaining Focus
• Ability to Lift 75 Pounds
• Ability to Push/Pull 100 Pounds

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
