As a volunteer at Canada�s largest wildlife rehabilitation facility, you�ll help care for nearly 5,000 injured, orphaned, or pollution-affected animals each year. The center specializes in rehabilitating native bird species�such as songbirds, waterfowl, and shorebirds�with the goal of restoring them to full health and returning them to their natural habitats.
Your days will be physically demanding and fast-paced, with tasks that vary based on the season and animal needs. From feeding and cleaning to habitat prep and basic treatment support, every task contributes to meaningful recovery and long-term conservation. You�ll also help reduce human-wildlife conflict by assisting with the relocation of animals from urban areas to safe, remote habitats.
This year-round program welcomes over 190 volunteers annually and fosters a supportive environment where you'll work alongside experienced staff and fellow volunteers from around the world. A minimum commitment of six weeks is required, with a schedule of 6�8 hours a day, four days a week�giving you three days off to explore the spectacular Greater Vancouver area.
