Paramedic

FULL-TIME PARAMEDIC

Starting at $25.00 / hour with credit given for experience

AMR Colorado Springs is actively seeking dedicated and compassionate full-time Paramedics to provide exceptional emergency medical services to our community. We offer a competitive starting wage, with additional credit awarded for relevant experience, reflecting our commitment to skilled professionals. This position works full-time 12-hour shifts, which are often nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Participate in community outreach programs to promote AMR's positive image and foster strong community relationships.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• NREMT-P
• Colorado Paramedic license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or Red Cross)
• Valid state driver's license in good standing
• Driving record compliant with company policies
• Successful completion of a Physical Agility Test (PAT)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous healthcare experience demonstrating familiarity with emergency medical procedures

Hourly Range: $25.00 - $40.00
