Represents GMR as a primary decision maker to our clients, personnel, and other allied agencies. Participates in assisting local leadership in meeting relevant goals and performance indicators.

Deployment Coordinators are responsible for demonstrating competencies in operating all relevant communication systems, information systems, and any other operational relevant systems and processes.

Essential Functions/Duties
- Utilizes sophisticated system status management computer system which monitors, updates, and controls the location and movement of units.
- Coordinates and supervises the activities of any personnel assigned to them.
- Reviews and acts upon, as necessary, all incidents, accidents, deviations/exceptions, and other issues as necessary. Escalates to local leadership as necessary.
- Ensures proper performance of telecommunications, computer, recording and other equipment.
- Attends meetings and maintains positive, professional interactions with all employees
- Works cooperatively with the Field Supervisors, Operation Supervisors, Operations Manager and field crews to ensure that problems or complicated system coordination are handled efficiently.
- Attends continuing education programs as needed.
- Updates relevant systems with daily deployment, staffing, and route changes.
- Ensure all ordered transportation requests are complete and accurate during the call intake and review process including patient coverage information.
- Provides for call intake when necessary completely and with detail
- Provide guidance to road crew as necessary
- Participates in developing deployment and analysis of deployment strategies.
- Other duties as assigned
- Excellent telephone skills and customer service etiquette
- Basic knowledge of health insurance processes and terminology to assist with identifying needs for prior authorizations
- A “yes we can” approach to assisting with client needs when it comes to problem solving
- Ability to exercise discretionary authority (within given limits) with logic and consistency.
- Knowledgeable in matters of employee health and safety and mindful of loss control.
- Counseling skills that assist employees recognize and understand company and personal needs, values, problems, alternatives, and goals.
- Ability to effectively communicate observations, opinions, and conclusions in such a way that they are understood to both accomplish tasks and fulfil the needs of team members.
- Able to serve as an effective role model or mentor for team members.
- Basic knowledge of telecommunications equipment.
- Ability to adapt rapidly to changing business needs, goals, and metrics.
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Familiar with local/regional geography
- Type at least 30 WPM
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 year of related experience in healthcare or transportation logistics
- 2 years of EMS industry experience
- Basic understanding of medical terminology
- Current EMT and CPR certification
