What are the responsibilities and job description for the Armed Security Officer (Part-Time) position at Global Mark Security?
We are seeking responsible and vigilant Security Officers to join our team.
Steady part-time positions are available, in addition to per diem work as needed, with a path to full-time work as spots become available should you consistently demonstrate a good work ethic.
Shifts can range from 4 to 8 hours in length and include mornings, afternoons, and evenings on weekdays and weekends.
Client locations consist mostly of religious institutions and private schools in and around Essex County (e.g., Livingston, the Oranges, Montclair, Morris Plains, Scotch Plains, Springfield).

Duties
- Maintain a fixed post and/or conduct interior & exterior foot patrols, as assigned by each client.
- Control entry points and greet visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Monitor assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
- Observe and report any security incidents or suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to any alarms, incidents, or emergencies.
- Enforce policies and procedures related to safety and security protocols.
Skills
- Previous security, loss prevention, law enforcement, and/or military experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong conflict management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure are a must.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail are essential for this role.
- Timeliness, dependability, and trustworthiness are critical.
Additional Requirements
- You must be able to stay on your feet for several hours at a time if needed.
- You must have reliable transportation to client sites; having your own vehicle is strongly preferred.
Pay is commensurate with experience.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
