Container Assembler

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Disassemble and reassemble container and molds
• Clean container parts
• Sand/Ice blast mold
• Follow all safe work practices
• Other duties as assigned
• Punctuality and regular attendance is required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Basic hand finishing experience a plus
• Strong shop mathematical skills, including but not limited to the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Familiarity with metric system is a plus.
• Must be familiar with machinist’s hand tools and possess demonstrated mechanical aptitude
• Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions, and read and interpret operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and blueprints

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel material
• Must be able to communicate verbally and have ability to hear
• The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms and stoop or crouch
• The employee is occasionally required to sit at a work station
• Specified vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to focus
• The employee is occasionally exposed to moderate cold and extreme heat
• Safety shoes (non-skid with a reinforced toe), safety glasses, ear protection and other personal protective equipment is required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
