AfterQuery – Software Engineer (Full-Stack, AI Infrastructure)

San Francisco (FiDi, Onsite 5 days)

Compensation: Up to $220K base Performance Bonus (OTE $350K–$600K) Equity

Must Have Requirements (Strict)

Seniority

• 1 years of experience as a full-stack software engineer

Work Experience

• Experience at:
• VC-backed startup, OR
• Reputable technical company, OR
• Early-stage company as a founding or early engineer
• High-growth startup experience is strongly preferred

Technical Skills

• Full-stack experience with:
• Next.js / React
• Node.js or Python
• Kubernetes

Ownership

• Proven ability to build and ship products end-to-end
• Strong ownership mindset

Client Interaction

• Comfortable working with technical stakeholders and researchers

Location & Work Style

• Onsite 5 days per week (Monday–Friday) in San Francisco (FiDi)
• Availability on Sundays (remote, as needed) to support a fast-moving, high-impact environment

Nice to Have

Education

• Strong academic background in Computer Science or related field
• Experience at highly selective universities or rigorous technical programs is a plus

Experience

• Background in AI, LLMs, or data infrastructure
• Experience at companies such as Surge AI, Snorkel AI, Micro1, Mercor, or similar

Additional Technologies

• Familiarity with:
• Kafka
• Redis
• Elasticsearch

What You’ll Do

• Build end-to-end AI infrastructure systems and tools
• Develop full-stack applications and internal platforms
• Deploy and scale systems using modern infrastructure tools
• Collaborate with AI researchers and product teams
• Own projects from 0→1 through production

Compensation Explanation

• Base salary up to $220K
• Performance-based bonus tied to output and impact
• Total compensation (OTE) can reach $350K–$600K for top performers
• Includes competitive equity
