Partner Site Operations Intern
Purpose: The Partner Site Operations Intern plays an important behind-the-scenes role in making large-scale Summit events happen. This internship offers hands-on experience in event operations, communication, and data management while working closely with a collaborative team. Interns gain real-world exposure to how national events are supported, learn how to work cross-functionally, and contribute to meaningful work that supports Host Sites across the U.S for the Global Leadership Summit (GLS) taking place August 6-7, 2026. Required dates of work include June 1 through the week of the GLS, August 3th - August 7th, 2026
Global Leadership Network (GLN) is a nonprofit organization located in South Barrington, Illinois. We exist to help churches build a leadership culture – so more and more people come to know Jesus Christ. We do this by developing resources to help churches grow healthy leaders – because healthy leaders build healthy, thriving churches.
Our flagship event is The Global Leadership Summit is attended by 60,000 leaders in 400 sites (primarily churches) throughout the United States. The Summit is translated into 50 languages and held in over 800 sites in 110 countries reaching over 240,000 international leaders from September to April.
Work Schedule: This position currently has a hybrid schedule which includes working from home in Chicagoland, or in the South Barrington office during most of Summit season; June 1-5 and August 3-7th will be required in office. In person hours may increase based on role responsibilities.
Our regular workdays and office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm CT with 30 minutes for lunch. This position does not offer relocation assistance or housing accommodations for the duration of the internship.
Job Status: Seasonal Internship (June 1 – August 14), Full-Time 40 hrs/week, Hourly Pay (Non-Exempt from Overtime)

Reports to: Partner Site Training and Engagement Manager
Pay rate for this seasonal internship of 40 hours per week position is $16/hr.
Benefits include paid time off in accordance with the Illinois PLAWA (Paid Leave for All Workers Act). Time off may be subject to black-out dates during GLS peak season and subject to manager approval.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in facilitating the collection of required documentation, including Certificates of Insurance and Evacuation Plans, from U.S. Host Sites.
- Review and post Site Detail submissions from Host Sites under the guidance of the Host Site Operations team.
- Help track, monitor, and compile reports on Host Site engagement with email communications, trainings, and webinars.
- Request and update shipping addresses from Host Sites, as needed.
- Staff the Event Manager / Promotional Strategist Hotline, with other members of the Host Site Operations team, during Summit week.
- Place phone calls to Host Sites regarding missing materials and important reminders, following provided scripts or guidance.
- Triage incoming email questions and routing inquiries to appropriate staff members.
- Support research, special projects, and data validation as assigned.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
- Participate in one-on-one check-ins with manager, team meetings, all-staff meetings, and cross-functional meetings, as appropriate.

Education, Experience, and Other Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

- Completed high school and some college (preferred)
- A vital relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and an active participant of a local church that holds to a historic, orthodox understanding of biblical Christianity
