Job Type: Full-Time (10-Month Contract)

Salary: Starting at $52,500 (based on experience and credentials)

Work Location: In Person

Job Summary-

Global Leadership Academy is seeking a dynamic and dedicated 6th Grade Math & Science Teacher to join our Intercoastal Campus. The ideal candidate will engage students in rigorous, standards-aligned instruction while building strong foundational skills in mathematics and scientific thinking. This role supports students in their transition to middle school by fostering problem-solving, curiosity, and academic confidence.

Key Responsibilities-

Plan and deliver standards-aligned Math and Science instruction for 6th grade in accordance with Florida B.E.S.T. Standards

Develop students’ problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills

Facilitate hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences in science

Create a structured, positive, and academically focused classroom environment

Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction

Provide targeted interventions and enrichment based on student data

Implement effective classroom management and differentiated instruction strategies

Prepare students for state assessments and academic success

Communicate regularly with families to build strong partnerships

Collaborate with colleagues and instructional leaders to support student achievement

Participate in school events, team planning, and professional development

Qualifications-

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, or a related field

Valid Florida Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education (K–6) or Middle Grades (5–9), with Math and/or Science certification preferred

Minimum Of 3 Years Of Teaching Experience Preferred

Strong content knowledge in math and science

Ability to implement data-driven and student-centered instruction

ESOL endorsement or willingness to obtain (preferred)

Effective classroom management and instructional differentiation skills

Collaborative, dependable, and mission-driven mindset

Work Schedule-

Monday – Friday

8-hour workday

In-person instruction required

Physical Requirements-

Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear

Use of computers, instructional technology, and basic lab materials

Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds

Activity Levels

Standing/Walking: Up to 2/3 of the day

Sitting: Under 1/3

Reaching/Talking/Hearing: Over 2/3

Stooping/Crouching: Up to 2/3
