Job Summary-
Global Leadership Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School ELA Teacher to join our Arts Campus. This role is ideal for an educator who fosters a love of reading and writing, builds strong literacy skills, and engages students through creative, student-centered instruction.

Key Responsibilities-
Plan and deliver standards-aligned ELA instruction for grades 6–8 in accordance with Florida B.E.S.T. Standards
Develop students’ reading, writing, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills
Create a classroom culture that promotes engagement, creativity, and respect
Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction
Provide targeted interventions and enrichment based on student data
Implement effective classroom management and differentiated instruction strategies
Collaborate with colleagues and instructional leaders to support student achievement
Communicate regularly with families to build strong partnerships
Participate in school events, team planning, and professional development
Qualifications-
Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
Valid Florida Teaching Certificate in English Language Arts (Grades 6–12) or Middle Grades (5–9)
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Teaching Experience Preferred
Strong understanding of literacy instruction and student-centered practices
Reading Endorsement (preferred)
ESOL endorsement or willingness to obtain (preferred)
Effective classroom management and instructional differentiation skills
Collaborative, dependable, and mission-driven mindset
Work Schedule
Monday – Friday
8-hour workday
In-person instruction required
Physical Requirements
Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear
Use of computers and instructional technology
Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds
Activity Levels
Standing/Walking: Up to 2/3 of the day
Sitting: Under 1/3
Reaching/Talking/Hearing: Over 2/3
