This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gulf Shores, AL, for a Cargo Screening K9 Handler (3PK9). The K9 Handler will be responsible for handling trained detection dogs to screen air cargo in compliance with operational standards and regulations. Day-to-day tasks include performing detection exercises, maintaining dog welfare, documenting screenings, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and collaborating with team members to optimize screening operations. The role requires reliability, attentiveness to detail, and professionalism in high-security environments.
- Knowledge of Dog Behavior and experience working with or training dogs
- Background in Military or Emergency Services
- Understanding of Explosives Safety protocols and handling measures
- Experience and proficiency in Training working dogs for detection purposes
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Ability to manage tasks independently and respond effectively in high-pressure situations
- Availability for on-site work and flexibility with schedules
- Possession of necessary certifications related to K9 handling or security operations is a plus
