We are seeking an experienced Program Director / Lead Consultant – Cybersecurity to lead large-scale technical security risk assessments and penetration testing initiatives across multiple county IT environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on technical expertise along with proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute technical security risk assessments across county IT infrastructure
• Perform and oversee internal & external penetration testing
• Assess environments including servers, desktops, networks, firewalls, IAM, MFA, VPN, patching & vulnerability management
• Develop standardized methodologies, templates, and assessment frameworks
• Manage assessment teams, workloads, timelines, and deliverables
• Create project plans, status reports, and executive-level documentation
• Communicate complex security findings to non-technical stakeholders, leadership, and regulatory bodies
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 7 years in cybersecurity risk assessments & penetration testing
• 5 years leading technical security assessments
• Strong experience with vulnerability identification and exploit validation
• 7 years managing technical teams and large programs
• Hands-on experience with NIST, CIS Controls, ISO 27001
• Excellent documentation, communication, and leadership skills
