AI Data Analyst

Data Analyst : Role Overview
The Data Analyst will be responsible for data understanding, data validation, KPI verification, and ensuring reporting outputs meet business expectations on Google Cloud Platform. The analyst will work closely with business stakeholders and offshore teams to ensure dashboards, data models, and pipelines deliver consistent and trusted insights.
Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users to define metrics, KPIs, and reporting logic

• Conduct data profiling, validation, and reconciliation against source systems

• Perform KPI validation, ensuring accuracy of metric definitions and calculations

• Execute report/dashboard QA, including visual and functional checks

• Lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles for analytics deliverables

• Validate BigQuery data models, pipeline outputs, and semantic layer consistency

• Document data mapping, transformation rules, data quality issues, and resolution steps

• Act as the onsite bridge between business teams and offshore development teams

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong skills in SQL (preferably BigQuery SQL) and hands-on data analysis

• Prior experience in data validation, KPI verification, and QA of BI reports

• Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform analytics stack BigQuery, Data Catalog, Looker, Cloud Storage

• Understanding of semantic modeling and metadata/data lineage concepts

• Familiarity with UAT planning, execution, and stakeholder sign-off processes

• Ability to collaborate effectively in an onsite offshore model

• Excellent analytical skills with strong communication and documentation abilities

Preferred Skills

• Experience with anomaly detection/statistical analysis

• Exposure to LookML (nice-to-have)
