Responsibilities
- Provide real-time Hebrew ↔ English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and official proceedings.
- Deliver interpretation with accuracy, impartiality, and professionalism.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with USCIS/DHS standards.
- Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge interpretation requests.
- Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance reviews.
- Native or near-native fluency in Hebrew and English.
- 2 years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, asylum, legal, medical, or government preferred).
- Knowledge of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.
- Strong telephone communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 federal clearance.
