Responsibilities
- Provide real-time Hassaniya Arabic ↔ English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and official proceedings.
- Interpret accurately, impartially, and professionally in immigration and asylum contexts.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with USCIS/DHS interpreter ethics and standards.
- Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge interpretation requests.
- Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and QA audits.
- Native or near-native fluency in Hassaniya Arabic and English.
- 2 years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, asylum, legal, community, or government preferred).
- Strong knowledge of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 security clearance.
