Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day financial record-keeping processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance within the company. This position will support the company by maintaining accurate records, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be passionate about accounting, possesses sound technical skills, and able to manage a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounting by recording journal entries and performing account analysis
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts to ensure consistency with financial records
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation regularly to verify data integrity
- Prepare financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and other financial tools to streamline bookkeeping tasks
- Assist with payroll processing and tax preparation
Experience
- 1-2 Years of experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
- Strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken or equivalent platforms
- Familiarity with financial concepts including balance sheet reconciliation, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting
- Demonstrated ability to handle accounts payable/receivable processes and payroll functions
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills for managing multiple accounts simultaneously
- Prior experience in public accounting or technical accounting is a plus but not required
