SUMMARY:
The Rooms Inspector is responsible for providing a clean guest room and a clean, pleasant environment for guests, visitors, and employees. You will have a major influence on the first and lasting impressions of our guests on our attention to hygiene standards and detail. You will provide an invisible excellence of cleanliness. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Always provide the highest quality of service to the guest.
- Always respond to guests and colleagues in a friendly, helpful manner.
- Responsible to maintain a positive overall impression of the hotel in accordance with the hotel's procedures and standards.
- Know and follow established cleaning procedures to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
- Properly use all cleaning supplies and fluids to product specifications.
- Perform and complete any special projects as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper.
- Ensure all guestrooms are inspected prior to guest arrival. Communicate with Front Office team to ensure all guest room requests and preferences are met.
- Conduct daily walk throughs and visually assess the cleanliness of the hotel, especially as it pertains to the guest experience.
- Report any material discrepancies beyond the scope of the Housekeeping Department to the Housekeeping Manager for referral to the Maintenance Technician.
- Respond to guest requests and inquiries immediately.
- Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests, such as irons, roll-away beds, cots, etc.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with all departments, assisting in other areas when needed, including all positions in the housekeeping department.
- Wear proper uniform at all times in accordance with the Company Dress Code.
- Through training, continue to practice skills taught.
- Must be thoroughly familiar with Employee Handbook and all policies and rules it contains.
- Must adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the company, including, but not limited to, those contained in the Employee Handbook, Safety Manual, and operating guides.
- Other duties as assigned, of which employee is capable of performing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Computer Knowledge/Skills: MS Windows, basic.
- Professional in appearance and attitude.
- Physical mobility and stamina required.
- Ability to follow instructions, detail-oriented, and service mined.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Be able to lift, carry, push or pull weight up to 30 lbs.
