Make a Difference Every DayBeta Care Services CT is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Support Professional (DSP)/Job Coach to support an individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving greater independence, employment success, and community inclusion.
As a Job Coach, you will provide one-on-one support throughout the individual's workday while assisting with transportation, community integration, skill development, and promoting independence both on and off the job.

- 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 35 hours per week
The DSP/Job Coach provides individualized support to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in vocational and community settings. The successful candidate will assist the individual in learning job responsibilities, maintaining employment, developing workplace skills, and increasing independence while ensuring health and safety.
Transportation is an essential component of this position.
- Transport the individual safely to and from work, appointments, and community activities using your personal vehicle.
- Provide on-site job coaching and employment support.
- Teach and reinforce job-specific skills and workplace expectations.
- Promote independence while encouraging self-confidence and personal growth.
- Assist with communication between the individual and employer when appropriate.
- Monitor work performance and provide constructive coaching.
- Support community participation and social inclusion.
- Assist with daily living skills as needed.
- Complete daily documentation and progress notes accurately and on time.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, DDS, and agency policies.
- Ensure the individual's health, safety, and well-being at all times.
- Report incidents, concerns, or changes in condition promptly.
- Participate in required trainings and team meetings.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to transport individuals safely.
- Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in job coaching, vocational services, education, human services, or direct care is a plus.
