Forklift Operator Global Harvest Foods - Reynolds, IN $22.50 an hour Company Overview Global Harvest Foods is a leading National Wild Bird, Caged Bird and small Critter/Pet food manufacturer with a 40-year history of delighting customers with our products We are a mature but growing company headquartered in Seattle, WA and currently have an outstanding opportunity for individuals to join our team in Reynolds, IN as Forklift Operators. These positions will be responsible for ensuring that all inbound and outbound loads are processed according to company and customer policies. Hiring for Shifts: 1st Shift- Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM Weekend work as needed 2nd Shift- Monday- Friday 3PM- 11:30PM Weekend work as needed 3rd Shift- Sunday night- Friday morning 11:00pm-7:30am- Saturday work as needed The primary tasks will include but are not limited to: Loads and unloads outgoing and incoming shipments. Picks and stages orders and loads for shipment. Performs physical inventory counts of finished products and ingredients. Prepares all outgoing shipment paperwork including Bills of Lading. Inspects lifts and forklifts on a daily basis. Performs equipment maintenance as directed. Qualifications: At least one year working with a sit-down forklift. High school diploma or GED is required. A minimum 12 months related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight, volume, and distance. Able to comfortably lift 75 lbs. A valid driver’s license is required. Must be 18 years of age to operate forklifts.
