What are the responsibilities and job description for the Simulcast Specialist position at GLOBAL GAMING SOLUTIONS LLC?
General Definition:
- Operation of all equipment located in the Bar & Book Control Room used for displaying the Simulcast Races from tracks outside of Lone Star Park as well as the Lone Star Park signal during the Live Racing Season.
Essential Job Functions:
- Displaying Race Tracks a minimum of 30 minutes prior to first post. Contacting Satellite providers when necessary to accomplish this.
- Turning Projectors On/Off.
- Maintaining TV equipment located in the Bar & Book.
- Displaying sports channels as directed by Marketing or Management.
- Monitoring Audio levels to properly transition from one track to the next.
- Making announcements as directed.
- Customer Service where it pertains to TV’s and Audio.
- Providing a verbal summary of the day’s activities to Video Personnel during shift changes. This summary is to include details where it pertains to the second shift.
- Dependability, good attendance and occasional overtime required.
- Will be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must work well with others.
- Use hand tools for repairing/maintaining equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Training:
- High school diploma or GED; or three years related experience and/or training; or 3 years combination
- 3 years’ work related experience and/or training; or combination.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Video experience
- Computer experience
- Technically minded
- Detail oriented
- Works well under pressure
- Willingness to learn
- Customer Service skills
Training:
- Responsible Gaming
Licenses/Certifications/Other:
- Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency if applicable to perform the essential job functions
- Texas Racing Commission License (TXRC)
