What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving Barn Attendant position at GLOBAL GAMING SOLUTIONS LLC?
General Definition:
- Maintain receiving barn.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assign stalls to horses shipping into race
- Clean dirty stalls daily
- Rake shedrow
- Report issues of concern about the receiving barn
- Make sure we have enough bedding material. Notify office when running low.
- Put out hotwalker leads for the machines
- Must carry out all duties assigned.
Education:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 2 years related experience and/or training; or combination.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Thoroughbred horses.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Training:
- 1 year work related experience and/or training; or combination.
Licenses/Certifications/Other:
- Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency, if applicable to perform the essential job functions
- Texas Racing Commission License (TXRC)
