Role Description This is a contract, on-site Life Insurance Agent role based in Nashville, TN. The Life Insurance Agent will meet with individuals and families to assess their financial protection needs, explain life insurance options, and recommend suitable products and coverage levels. Daily responsibilities include prospecting for new clients, scheduling and conducting consultations, preparing personalized insurance proposals, and submitting applications in a timely and compliant manner. The agent will maintain regular follow-up with clients, provide policy reviews, handle basic service inquiries, and coordinate with underwriting and support teams as needed. The role also involves participating in ongoing training, attending team meetings, and staying current on product offerings, industry regulations, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Ability to assess client needs, explain complex financial concepts clearly, and build long-term, trust-based relationships.
- Strong communication, active listening, and presentation skills to guide clients through coverage options and recommendations.
- Comfort with prospecting, networking, and community outreach to develop and grow a client base.
- Organizational and time-management skills to balance appointments, follow-ups, documentation, and licensing requirements.
- Basic financial literacy and willingness to learn life insurance, annuities, and related protection products.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to ethical, compliant sales practices.
- Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial, performance-driven environment with coaching and support.
- Active state life insurance license in Tennessee (or willingness and ability to obtain one within a defined timeframe).
- Prior experience in sales, customer service, or financial services is preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, finance, or a related field is a plus.
