Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CDL-A Driver Trainer to mentor and develop new and current drivers. This role is responsible for ensuring safe driving practices, compliance with DOT regulations, and successful onboarding of trainees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train and mentor new CDL-A drivers in safe driving techniques
- Conduct road and classroom training sessions
- Evaluate driver performance and provide feedback
- Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company policies
- Demonstrate proper pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate training records and reports
- Promote a culture of safety and professionalism
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL-A license with clean driving record
- 35 years of over-the-road (OTR) experience
- Prior training or mentorship experience preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
