Responsibilities
- Operate manufacturing machinery with precision and care.
- Set up and maintain production lines and ensure process control throughout the production line.
- Conduct routine inspections and monitor machine performance to prevent downtime and maintain product quality.
- Safely load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling and storage.
- Protect and maintain production tooling and complete related equipment at set-up, during production and post-production (line take-down).
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and communicate complex problems to supervisor and/or maintenance teams promptly.
- Maintain accurate production logs, quality documentation, and shift reports to ensure seamless operations.
- Perform quality inspections throughout the production process, verifying specifications with basic math and measurement techniques.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- Prior experience in manufacturing or machine operation is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency.
- Proficient in using hand tools and machinery controls with precision.
- Adequate vision to monitor machine operation, read gauges and inspect for safety and quality requirements.
- Warehouse experience including materials handling with forklifts and understanding of safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards.
- Basic mechanical skills related to machining or equipment troubleshooting are beneficial.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
- Able to read instructions, forms and other documents in English language, preferred.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments related to plastics production.
- Ability to work effectively on 3rd shift, demonstrating flexibility in scheduling.
- Able to work overtime and weekends as required.
- GED or High School Diploma, required.
Physical Requirements
- Be able to remain on your feet for the entire shift.
- Lift, carry, push and pull with requirements that can range from 25 to 50 lbs.
- Capable of standing 8-12 hours per shift.
- Ability to move around production area, including bending, reaching and squatting as needed.
- Physical stamina and endurance to perform the job well.
- Strong body movement, with lower back and core strength.
- Move materials without issues or damage to self and property for the entire shift.
- Must be able to reach pull, and push objects for entire shift.
