Global Engineering & Technology (GET) is searching for an Operations Manager to guide a large team of highly dedicated experts, providing Specialized Technical Services to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in Germantown, Maryland.
Duties:
The Operations Manager manages contractual efforts in a defined program/task area(s) to ensure responsiveness to job requests as outlined in the Performance Work Statement.
This individual also:
- Provides resource management for all contractor employees
- Assesses workload on a weekly basis and re- assigns staff as needed to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Ensures quality and quantity of work
- Frequently interfaces with the Federal customer to ensure customer satisfaction
- Ensures administrative staff are cross-trained in different administrative duties to provide adequate coverage during peak workloads
Requirements
Experience:
Candidate must have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in project management. This may be a combination of private sector, civil service, or military experience.
Experience in quality assurance, development and implementation of progress measurement tools, and a detailed knowledge of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, Executive Order 13526, and DOE classification regulations and policies are required for this position.
Education:
This position requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in such fields as one of the engineering disciplines or physical sciences.
Citizenship & Security Clearance:
- Candidate must be a United States citizen
- Candidate must have a current DOE Q security clearance or Top Secret / SCI security clearance
