What are the responsibilities and job description for the Principal, Enterprise Platform Strategy position at Global Electronics Association?
Principal, Enterprise Platform Strategy
The Principal, Enterprise Platform Strategy is a high-impact, strategic individual contributor reporting to the CIO. This role serves as the primary bridge between Global Electronics Association’s executive leadership (Marketing, Finance, Sales, Services) and the technical execution teams. You are the architect of the "What" and the "Why"—responsible for transforming our internal operations into a modern, connected digital ecosystem that drives business growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Roadmap & Prioritization Leadership: Establish and lead the annual and quarterly roadmap process for the enterprise application suite (CRM, ERP, and related tools). Facilitate the trade-off conversations between competing business interests to ensure IT resources are focused on the highest-value initiatives.
- Business Value Realization: Define and track operational efficiency metrics in partnership with business leaders. You don't just launch software; you own the "Success Metrics" (e.g., reduction in Quote-to-Cash cycle time, improved lead conversion data, or automated financial reconciliation, improved deflection rate of Customer support requests via AI Agents).
- Strategic Translation & Requirements: Translate complex business vision into clear, actionable user stories and functional requirements. You will ensure the technical "How" delivered by engineering teams perfectly aligns with the business "What."
- Transformation Catalyst: Serve as the internal lead for strategic consulting partners. You will direct their work, hold them accountable for business outcomes, and ensure that external expertise is being applied to the Global Electronics Association’s long-term strategic goals.
- Executive Communication: Provide monthly and quarterly "State of Enterprise Systems" updates to the Executive team, focusing on value delivered, roadmap progress, and strategic shifts.
- Vendor Influence: Act as a key stakeholder in the selection and evaluation of third-party software and implementation partners, ensuring they meet the functional needs of the business.
Please apply if this profile reflects you:
- The Translator: You can speak "Accounting" with the Controller and "API" with the Lead Architect. You simplify the complex.
- The AI Evangelist: You understand that AI isn't just a chatbot; it’s a way to redesign how work gets done across departments and operational teams.
- The Value Seeker: You are obsessed with outcomes. You don't want to build features; you want to solve business problems.
- The Influencer: You can lead a room of senior stakeholders toward a consensus on priority without having direct reporting authority over them.
- The Modernizer: You have a "Product Mindset"—viewing internal systems as evolving assets that should make employees' lives easier and the association more scalable.
Requirements:
- At least 10 years of experience in business systems, technical product/platform management or solutions architecture.
- Technical Fluency: Deep functional understanding of CRM (Salesforce) and ERP (Oracle NetSuite) and experience with AI orchestration tools (e.g., Cassidy, Zapier Central).
- Process Architecture: Skilled in Business Process Mapping and identifying automation triggers and Agentic AI opportunities.
- Agile Delivery: Expert in writing user stories and managing requirements in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Vendor Leadership: Proven track record directing high-tier consulting firms and managing vendor-led AI implementations to successful completion.
- Data Literacy: Understanding of relational databases and data governance to ensure AI agents have high-quality "grounding" data.
- Transformation Leadership: Proven track record of managing large-scale digital transformation roadmaps and driving successful project completions through collaboration with project managers/scrum masters.
