Industrial Electrician

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electrical systems within industrial environments. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently across various industrial facilities. Duties

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems in compliance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and local electrical codes
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system installations
• Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while adhering to all electrical safety procedures and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards
• Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to identify faults quickly and accurately
• Maintain and upgrade industrial electrical systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage controls, and commercial electrical systems
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical infrastructure on construction sites or during renovation projects to ensure compliance with safety standards
• Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment effectively while maintaining a safe work environment
• Collaborate with team members on schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and installation planning for new or existing facilities
• Support troubleshooting efforts during system failures or outages to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity
• Follow all safety protocols related to high-voltage systems, construction site work, and general electrical procedures

Experience

• Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a strong background in industrial electrical systems installation and maintenance
• Commercial electrician experience is highly desirable for working on diverse project types
• Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, local electrical codes, and safety procedures is essential
• Hands-on experience diagnosing complex electrical issues using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools
• Skilled in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, schematics diagrams, and blueprints for accurate installation and troubleshooting
• Experience working on high-voltage wiring projects within industrial or commercial settings
• Construction site experience including renovation projects or facility maintenance is preferred
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and automation controls is a plus
• Ability to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers along with power tools safely and effectively
• Strong understanding of electrical wiring practices in compliance with local codes and safety standards
• Prior handyman or frame carpentry experience can be beneficial for supporting miscellaneous construction-related tasks

Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
