Position Overview:
Our team is currently looking for a Design Engineer with a focus on electrical systems for a client in the Motorsports Industry.
Responsibilities & Essential Duties:
- Support the development of advanced electrical systems and components.
- This role is hands?on and highly collaborative, involving design work, prototyping, assembly trials, vendor engagement, and close coordination with cross?functional teams.
- Design and develop electrical components and subsystems, including 3D/2D modeling, wire harnesses, and high?voltage components.
- Perform engineering calculations and ensure designs meet performance, cost, and manufacturing targets.
- Support assembly and manufacturing trials; collaborate with suppliers and internal teams.
- Maintain BOMs, drawings, and documentation; support DFM reviews.
- Troubleshoot issues, provide timely updates, and support project deadlines.
- Participate in cross?functional meetings and contribute to technical problem?solving.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of electrical design engineering experience (automotive/motorsports/aerospace preferred).
- Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 or 3D Experience.
Must haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering field.
- 3–5 years of electrical design engineering experience in high?voltage systems, wire harness design, and engineering fundamentals.
- Ability to interpret drawings, create BOMs, and perform tolerance stack?ups.
- Strong communication and problem?solving skills.
- Willingness to travel for vendor visits, testing, or track support.

- Relocation offered.
- One-year contract w/possible extension/direct hire
