Staff Accountant
Location: Beaumont, TX Area

About the Opportunity
A growing industrial services and construction organization is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This position will play a key role in supporting daily accounting operations, financial reporting, job cost accounting, and project-related financial activities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, experience working in industrial, construction, manufacturing, or project-based environments, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both office and field personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger activities
- Assist with job cost accounting, project cost tracking, labor allocations, and financial reporting
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close schedules
- Review project costs and collaborate with operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Analyze variances, investigate discrepancies, and support cost control initiatives
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
- Support internal and external audits and maintain compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3 years of accounting experience
- Experience in construction, industrial services, manufacturing, EPC, or project-based environments preferred
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with operations and project teams
