Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Production Scheduler & Courier to join our dental laboratory team. This hybrid role is responsible for coordinating daily delivery/pickup schedules, managing case entry and workflow, communicating with dental offices, and providing timely pickup and delivery of dental cases.
The ideal candidate has dental industry experience, excellent organizational skills, and enjoys balancing office coordination with time on the road. This position plays a vital role in ensuring cases move efficiently through the laboratory while providing outstanding service to our clients. Dental experience is required*
Schedule: Monday–Thursday 9:00-5:00 and Friday 9:00-3:00.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Scheduling & Case Coordination
- Coordinate and schedule all incoming physical and digital cases to meet production deadlines.
- Manage case entry, data entry, invoicing, packaging, and case tracking within the laboratory management system.
- Communicate with dental offices to verify case details, due dates, and any necessary adjustments.
- Monitor production schedules and collaborate with technicians to prioritize cases based on delivery deadlines.
- Receive, process, and troubleshoot digital impressions from iTero, Medit, 3Shape, and other digital platforms.
- Ensure accurate documentation and maintain compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
- Provide timely updates to clients regarding case status and delivery schedules.
Courier & Logistics
- Safely operate a company vehicle to pick up and deliver dental cases to local dental offices.
- Load, unload, package, and transport cases while maintaining organization and confidentiality.
- Clean and prepare case pans as needed.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and promptly communicate any scheduling or transportation issues.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures while representing the laboratory professionally.
Customer Service
- Build and maintain positive relationships with dental offices through professional communication and exceptional customer service.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding cases, scheduling, and deliveries.
- Serve as a dependable liaison between the laboratory and dental practices.
Qualifications
- Dental experience required (dental assisting, front office, or dental laboratory experience).
- Strong understanding of dental terminology.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to build relationships over the phone and in person.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Experience using laboratory management software and digital impression platforms (iTero, Medit, 3Shape, or similar) is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while collaborating with the production team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand, bend, walk, and enter/exit a vehicle throughout the day.
- Comfortable driving throughout the local service area in varying weather conditions.
