Job Overview
Global Defense Security is seeking professional, dependable, and customer-focused Unarmed Security Guards to join our growing team. As an Unarmed Security Guard, you will play a critical role in protecting our clients' people, property, and assets while maintaining a safe and secure environment.
The ideal candidate is observant, reliable, and capable of responding appropriately to security concerns while providing exceptional customer service. Security officers will be expected to maintain a visible presence, enforce site-specific policies, document incidents, and communicate effectively with clients, visitors, and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of assigned properties.
- Monitor and report suspicious activity, security risks, and safety hazards.
- Control access points and verify visitor credentials as required.
- Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident reports.
- Respond to emergencies and security incidents in a calm and professional manner.
- Provide excellent customer service while representing Global Defense Security.
- Enforce client rules, regulations, and property policies.
- Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and management when necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid Texas Security Officer License (Level II Non-Commissioned Security Officer) or ability to obtain one.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license required.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Experience
- Previous security, law enforcement, military, or customer service experience.
- Experience with access control, patrol operations, and incident reporting.
- Bi-lingual a plus
