- Conducts departmental briefing and delegates responsibility to the dispatchers and coordinators on duty.
- Ensures shift pass down is completed between all OCC personnel.
- Monitors the OCC on duty personnel roster, and reports any irregularities to the Manager of OCC.
- Will ensure personnel carry out duties and responsibilities in a professional matter which includes but is not limited to ensuring the compliance with GlobalX dress and grooming policy, attendance, etc.
- Maintain dispatcher qualification and perform Dispatcher duties when workload requires it.
- Recommends changes to the Flight Operations Manual and Dispatch Operations Manual and Operations Specifications.
- Detects and reports software issues and submits tickets as necessary
- The oncoming OCC Duty Manger must verify weather data and become familiar with the overall weather affecting the areas of operations
- The departing OCC Duty Manger must brief the oncoming OCC Duty Manger on the following:
- Weather at departure / alternate /arrival / and en-route airports under the operation’s jurisdiction, and on any other limitation that may affect the flight.
- Fleet status with detailed information such as AOG Status, Fuel on board, location, etc.
- Any additional item that may affect the safety of flight such as any abnormal incident that may have occurred during previous shift.
- Evaluates and monitors weather changes and complies with the weather reporting forecast and as well as overviewing of any NOTAMS that may affect the operation of a flight.
- Coordinate with OCC Coordinators to ensure all necessary ground operations preparations are made.
- Coordinate with Crew Scheduling on crew requirements, positions, and movements.
- Coordinate with or advise the Director of OCC, DO, and/or CP on all unusual requests or circumstances.
- Confirm (or in the absence of a Mission Planner, enter) the schedule in N-OC after assessing aircraft availability and ensuring all additions, corrections, changes, deletions, or cancellations are provided both verbally and electronically to Crew Scheduling, OCC Coordinators, and Mission Planning.
- Recommends and assist the Flight Dispatchers in the coordination of routing.
- Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans for daily operations.
- Follows operational matters that might affect the progress of the flight.
- During irregular operations, implement flight delays when conditions warrant, recommend flight cancellations and initiate alternative plans.
- Initiates Emergency Response Procedures and assesses and fill Incident Reports in conjunction with the OCC Manager and Director of OCC.
- Coordinate with the DoD/TACC on military missions as necessary.
- Ensure and update status of all flights in NOC assuring that the correct information is recorded.
- Maintain flight watch of all Company outbound and inbound flights.
- Will be responsible for sending flight schedule revisions that occur during his shift affecting the current operation and up to 72 hours in advance.
- Will ensure all MVT messages are sent to the appropriate parties and on a timely manner by the OCC Coordinators.
- Closely monitor punctuality of staff in their respective shifts.
- Creates, implements, and enforces departmental procedures.
- FAA Dispatcher License.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with dispatching aircrafts.
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
- Previous supervisor experience (preferred).
- Air Transportation Supervisor (ATS) (preferred).
