Role Description The Direct Entry Captain is a full-time, on-site position based in Miami, FL, Harlingen, TX, Alexandria , LA and Mesa, AZ, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Airbus A320 family aircraft on domestic and international charter routes. The Captain leads the flight crew, conducts pre-flight planning, reviews weather and NOTAMs, and verifies fuel, performance, and weight and balance calculations. Daily responsibilities include adherence to company SOPs, regulatory compliance, and coordination with dispatch, ground operations, and maintenance to ensure on-time, safe departures and arrivals. The role involves actively managing all phases of flight, monitoring aircraft systems, and making operational decisions that prioritize safety and passenger comfort. The Captain also mentors and supports First Officers, participates in recurrent training and checks, and contributes to a positive, professional cockpit culture aligned with GlobalX standards.

Qualifications

• Strong flight operations skills, including experience as Pilot in Command on transport-category aircraft, with a preference for Airbus A320 family time.
• Demonstrated proficiency in crew resource management, leadership, and decision-making in a multi-crew, high-tempo charter environment.
• Thorough knowledge of FAA Part 121 regulations, aviation safety practices, and standard operating procedures.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with flight crew, dispatch, ground personnel, and customers.
• Current Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate, valid First-Class medical certificate, and ability to meet GlobalX training and checking standards.
• Ability to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and international trips, with the flexibility required in charter operations.
• Commitment to a safety-first mindset, professional conduct, and fostering an inclusive, respectful team environment.
• Previous Part 121 or equivalent multi-crew jet experience; Airbus type rating and international/ETOPS experience are beneficial.

Essential Functions and Responsabilities:

• Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft and the safety of crew and passengers
• Responsible for the airworthiness of the aircraft, weather factors affecting the flight, flight regulations and air traffic control procedures
• Utilization of all tools and aids designed to provide maximum safety in the air and on the ground
• Demonstrate safety ownership in every aspect of their responsibilities, performance and behavior to ensure the successful outcome of every flight

Skills and Qualifications: 

• FAA Airmen Certificate
• FAA First Class Medical Certificate
• Valid FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s permit
• Airbus 320 Type rating preferred
• MUST meet the requirements for FAR 121.436
• Must have a minimum of 4000 hours total time
• 1000 Jet hours as Pilot in Command under a 121 Certificate
• Or 1500 Jet hours as Pilot in Command under a 135 Certificate
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
• Ability to maintain a valid passport
• Ability to travel unrestricted to and from the United States
• Excellent oral and written communications skills in English
