Job Description
We are seeking a Supplier Development Engineer to develop, qualify, and improve suppliers for non-metallic components, including cowling assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct supplier capability assessments, audits, and feasibility reviews.
- Support supplier qualification, development, and improvement initiatives.
- Manage tooling transfers and ensure supplier process readiness.
- Lead APQP and PPAP activities for new product launches and transfers.
- Review PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and capability studies.
- Drive continuous improvement and corrective actions using 8D, A3, and 5-Why.
- Work closely with Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality teams.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience with non-metallic manufacturing processes such as injection molding, blow molding, thermoforming, or composites.
- Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, GD&T, SPC, and DOE.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Travel requirement: Up to 40%.
