What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr Powertrain Model Based Developer position at Global Connect Technologies?
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement control algorithms using Model-Based Development (MBD) tools such as MATLAB/Simulink
- Perform powertrain calibration for engine, transmission, and hybrid systems
- Work on ECU development, testing, and validation (MIL, SIL, HIL environments)
- Analyze system performance and optimize calibration parameters for efficiency, emissions, and drivability
- Support integration and testing activities on vehicle and test benches
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including controls, systems, and validation engineers
- Debug and troubleshoot calibration and control issues
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in Powertrain Systems (Engine / Transmission / Hybrid)
- Hands-on experience in Calibration tools such as INCA, CANape, or similar
- Expertise in MATLAB/Simulink for MBD development
- Knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture (preferred)
- Experience with CAN communication tools
- Familiarity with MIL, SIL, HIL testing environments
- Good understanding of vehicle diagnostics and control strategies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering
- Experience working with OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
