Komatsu is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong experience in sheet metal and product design for Off-Highway, Construction, and Mining equipment. The role requires expertise in SolidWorks and close coordination with global and offshore teams for successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop components using SolidWorks (sheet metal, machined, casting, plastics)
- Collaborate with offshore teams for concept development and delivery planning
- Meet with customers to gather requirements and clarify project scope
- Understand manufacturing processes and perform material selection
- Plan, estimate, and schedule design projects
- Manage project documentation and changes in scope, cost, and timeline
- Coordinate with cross-functional global teams and stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience:
- 4–6 years in Off-Highway / Construction / Mining domain
- Strong SolidWorks experience
- Hands-on experience with sheet metal, casting, machined, and plastic components
- Proven project planning and estimation capabilities
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
