What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Engineer- (Harness and PLC) position at Global Connect Technologies?
Required Skills:
- Harness design, electrical schematics, and DC circuit troubleshooting
- 12/24 VDC circuit analysis with low/medium voltage AC systems knowledge
- PLC programming experience (CodeSYS, IQAN)
- CAD tools: SolidWorks, SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD
- Engine diagnostics, drivetrain/driveline, and diesel engine knowledge
- Hydraulic and pneumatic controls understanding
- ERP/MRP systems experience (JD Edwards preferred)
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, and project ownership skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments with urgency
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new products with product development teams
- Create detailed product specifications and ensure compliance
- Participate in VOC/customer meetings and product testing
- Support operations, suppliers, and service teams for quality improvements
- Perform onsite diagnostics at customer locations
- Support tradeshows, product launches, and training activities
- Drive continuous improvement and manufacturable product designs
- Reduce warranty issues and improve sustaining engineering processes
- Travel up to 20% domestically during product launches
