Part-time handyman / helper

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and versatile Part-time (20-30 hours per week maximum) Handyman / Helper to join our team! This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with their hands, tackling a variety of small maintenance tasks or projects including light landscaping and general labor supporting facility operations. As a key contributor, you will assist with repairs, cleaning and organization, installations/small item assembly and general upkeep across a residential property and office environment. Your proactive attitude and mechanical aptitude will ensure our facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills or continue with skills you have already acquired through experience.

Duties

• Perform minor maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of building interior/exterior.
• Assist with carpentry tasks such as repairs, installations, and maintenance painting projects to keep spaces looking fresh and functional.
• Use hand tools correctly and safely
• Assist with the upkeep of building interior/exterior spaces, ensuring organization and cleanliness in compliance with work and safety standards. This may also include some general residential or commercial cleaning depending on the needs of the day or project.
• Those that Excel with organization skills and light mechanical / carpentry skills are encouraged to apply.
• This is an entry level position and could potentially lead to other opportunities for those interested and show a willingness to grow.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of building interior/exterior maintenance. (This position does not require plumbing or HVAC. It is light general maintenance)
• Experience with general maintenance and repair work.
• Practical skills in carpentry, painting (including residential painting), general cleaning and organization.
• Good communication skills in English; able to follow instructions clearly and work collaboratively within a team.
• Prior experience in household maintenance or similar roles is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities when assisting with projects or guiding less experienced team members is advantageous.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in various environments safely.
