The Job You Will Perform
- Responsible for performing basic engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned
- Understand the project delivery process and help define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals, mill safety, reliability, and improvement efforts
- Collaborate with more experienced engineers to provide follow-up and engineering assistance on defined problems
- Prepare or assist in preparing reports, graphs, planning layouts, and summaries designed to communicate project progress or results
- Successfully perform non-complex and routine assignments while developing engineering fundamentals
- Understand and execute work in a manner consistent with safety procedures and practices with some guidance
- Utilize basic communication tools such as memos, email, and verbal to update others on progress of assignments when prompted
- Develop relationships with teams and process areas as needed with each assignment
- Interact with other mill departments such as Operations, Maintenance, Purchasing, etc. to achieve assignment objectives
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
