What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Medical Assistant FULL-TIME position at Global Cancer Research Institute, Inc?
We are a fast-paced Oncology/Hematology practice with multiple offices. As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical clinic for front and back office. You will support doctor and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION WITH TRAVEL 1 DAY WEEK TO LOS GATOS.
Responsibilities
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Update and file medical records
- Confirm appointments with patients
- Assist during medical examinations and procedures
- Utilize all back-office skills
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
- And any other duties as requested by Doctor
Skills
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness, compassion and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
- 1 year experience preferred
- MUST be able to travel 1 days a week
