Position Summary
Global C2 Integration Technologies (GC2IT) is looking for a talented System Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to support our federal partners to enhance national security.
The System Engineer will focus on AWS Cloud DevOps and is responsible for building, securing, and operating the system's cloud infrastructure that supports centralized management hubs and associated services in AWS. This role implements infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform), and automates provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and patching to enable reliable, repeatable deployments across environments. The System Engineer will partner with application, security, networking, and operations teams to enforce cloud guardrails (IAM, logging, encryption, network segmentation), maintain observability and incident readiness, and deliver high-availability platform capabilities that protect continuous biometric data flow and meet sponsor requirements.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the engineering team to build, secure, and operate our AWS infrastructure.
- Use infrastructure-as-code tools to provide and configure cloud infrastructure.
- Work closely with the engineering and operations to ensure day-to-day execution and performance of the system.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field and appropriate work experience is required.
- Knowledge of engineering processes.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
- Willing to travel 20-40% and ability to conduct site surveys and coordinate installation/maintenance activities.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working on OCONUS deployments.
- Experience developing workflow processes.
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely using a variety of styles and techniques appropriate to the audience.
- Extensive analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
