Position Summary
GBT is seeking a knowledgeable and client-focused Point-of-Sale (POS) Business Consultant to support merchants in selecting, implementing, and optimizing POS and payment solutions.
In this role, you’ll act as a trusted advisor, working directly with business owners to understand their operations, recommend the right solutions, and ensure a smooth onboarding experience. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving, client interaction, and seeing solutions come to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with prospective clients to understand their business operations, challenges, and goals
- Design and recommend POS and payment solutions that are simple, effective, and scalable
- Maintain consistent follow-up and pipeline activity within the CRM
- Collaborate with Order Coordination to ensure accurate documentation for onboarding
- Support implementation and training for hardware, software, and payment systems
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships post-sale
- Address client issues quickly and effectively to maintain trust and satisfaction
- Communicate pricing and solutions clearly and transparently
- Set accurate expectations and ensure a smooth transition from sales to onboarding
- Meet activity and performance expectations related to merchant acquisition
- Identify opportunities for additional POS stations, equipment, and services within existing accounts
Performance Expectations
- Meet monthly merchant acquisition targets
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records
- Submit complete and accurate documentation
- Support successful merchant activation and onboarding
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2 years of experience in POS consulting and/or retail or hospitality operations
- Consultative, problem-solving mindset
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required
Working Conditions
- Standard office hours, Monday–Friday
- Flexible scheduling may be required, including evenings or weekends
- Fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Travel required, including occasional overnight trips
