Global Business Alliance
Washington, DC Full Time
POSTED ON 3/18/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 9/13/2026

Location: Washington, DC

Reports to: Senior Vice President, Head of Government Affairs

The Global Business Alliance (GBA) is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated professional with at least three years’ worth of experience to help manage its government affairs programming. The Manager of Government Affairs will play a central role in planning, scheduling, and executing GBA’s government affairs programming—including gubernatorial roundtables, CEO Leadership Council events, and congressional caucus briefings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and manage government affairs programming end-to-end, including logistics, venue coordination, run-of-show, and attendee management for membership meetings, CEO-level events, gubernatorial roundtables, and Capitol Hill advocacy days
  • Partner with internal teams (communications, membership, events) to deliver organizational excellence and enhance member value
  • Own the scheduling, logistics, and execution of a recurring calendar of educational briefings and programming for federal policymakers, tracking deliverables and deadlines across multiple simultaneous events
  • Manage member outreach workflows and track engagement activities to support GBA’s advocacy programming at the state and federal level
  • Coordinate joint programming and scheduling with peer business associations, think tanks, and external partners; maintain shared calendars and project timelines

Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years of experience in program coordination, government affairs, or an equivalent political campaign position; experience managing multi-stakeholder events or complex scheduling is preferred over a purely policy-focused background
  • Experience with or a strong interest in project management, political grassroots engagement, fundraising, or campaign initiatives
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with exacting attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Strong organizational skills, with excellent follow-through and a positive attitude in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a high degree of professionalism
  • Bachelor’s degree required
