- Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock movements, conducting regular audits, and utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure accuracy and availability.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to facilitate sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management activities, ensuring timely replenishment of materials and products.
- Utilize data mining, data analysis skills, and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau to identify trends, root causes of stock discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Support logistics functions including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and materials handling to optimize warehouse distribution efficiency.
- Conduct demand planning and supply chain analytics to forecast inventory needs accurately, leveraging ERP systems like SAP or AS400 for data collection and analysis.
- Assist in category management initiatives by analyzing pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and merchandising data to maximize profitability.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary and operate forklifts or other materials handling equipment safely to support warehouse operations.
- Proven experience in warehouse management, inventory control, or supply chain roles with a strong understanding of logistics processes.
- Demonstrated proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms (such as SAP or AS400), SQL, and data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Knowledge of procurement practices including sourcing, contracts management, and supplier relationship management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis, financial modeling, and demand planning using data analytics techniques.
- Familiarity with materials handling equipment including forklifts; certification is preferred but not required.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to perform data mining and analysis for process improvement initiatives.
