POSITION SUMMARY
As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling various robot components, from basic mechanical sub-assemblies to precision assemblies. This includes working on turrets, arms, wrists, robots, and rail assemblies, with a strong focus on attention to detail and quality throughout the process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble components including turrets, arms, wrists, robots, cable installations, cable catrac, and rail assemblies for P-series products, following Manufacturing Production Plans, standards, and Engineering Specifications/Guidelines.
- Meet daily work schedules and production goals.
- Review control plans, quality documents, and specifications to ensure compliance.
- Verify that products and workmanship meet company standards, ensuring assembly and test data is complete and within defined ranges.
- Use and maintain tools properly, following Tool Management Procedures. • Maintain a clean and organized work area using a 5-S approach in collaboration with the team.
- Comply with FANUC Basic Safety Training and Procedures, including HAZ MAT, LOCKOUT, TAGOUT, robot safety, risk assessments, and proper PPE.
- Complete work orders and related tasks accurately and on time.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree or Technical Certificate in Applied Science preferred.
- Experience: 1-5 years in manufacturing mechanical assembly and testing, with experience using fixtures, jigs, and basic diagnostic tools. Knowledge of ISO 9001 is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret engineering documents (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic). Proficient with hand and power tools for assembly, and familiar with MIOSHA safety procedures, Lockout/Tagout, and Hazardous Material handling.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
- Software: Basic proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Travel & Scheduling: Flexibility for assignments at remote locations as needed
