Automation Engineer – Paint, Sealer & Adhesives

We’re hiring an Automation Engineer with hands‑on experience in paint, sealer, and adhesive application systems to support the design, integration, and launch of advanced automated manufacturing solutions. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working with robotics, process equipment, and system integration in real‑world production environments.
What You’ll Do
- Design and support automated paint, seam sealer, and adhesive dispensing systems
- Engineer and integrate robotic and fixed automation solutions, including pumps, metering units, valves, and applicators
- Collaborate with controls, mechanical, tooling, and manufacturing teams to deliver fully integrated systems
- Support system testing, runoff, commissioning, and customer launches
- Troubleshoot automation and application issues; perform root cause analysis
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to standardized engineering solutions
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related) or equivalent experience
- 3 years of experience in industrial automation, preferably with paint, sealer, or adhesive processes
- Experience working with industrial robots (FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa, UR, etc.)
- Strong understanding of dispensing equipment, fluid delivery systems, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and process documentation
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a hands‑on, collaborative mindset
Nice to Have
- Automotive or Tier‑1 manufacturing experience
- PLC programming or troubleshooting exposure
- Experience supporting system installation or production launches
