What are the responsibilities and job description for the Motor Vehicle Inspector position at GLOBAL AUTO TAGS AND SERVICES?
Our goal is to assist customers with PENNDOT's inspection procedures in the best interest of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We specialize in enhanced safety inspections for titles and annual emission and safety inspections.
What our Inspectors does:
1) Emissions testing for OBD-I/M; visual; gas cap
- a) Passenger and Light Trucks 1975 and new and GVWR 8,500 or less.
2) Safety and Enhance Safety testing for
- a) Passenger Vehicles GVWR 9,000 or less.
- b) Light Trucks GVWR 11,000 or less
- c) Trailers GVWR between 3,001 and 10,000
Responsibilities:
1) Conduct inspection reports on incoming vehicles to assess and detect damage, any missing parts and/or mechanical issues
2) Prepare and detailed computer generated report of the vehicle's condition
3) Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition
4) Perform semi-skilled and unskilled tasks as needed
Requirements:
1) Driver License
2) ASE Certified (G1, A4, A5, B3, B4, B5, or B6)
3) PENNDOT Certified Emission (Inspector or Repair Tech A8)
4) PENNDOT Certified Safety (Class 1, 4, 5, or 7)
5) PENNDOT Certified Enhanced Safety (Class J)
6) Tools
7) Driver History(5 years clean history), PSP Background, & Drug screening
Pay info:
40 hrs. per week: Monday - Saturday
EXPERIENCED (AUTONOMOUSLY WORK)
41.6K/year; 800/week
Pay: $31,200.00 - $41,600.00 per year
Work Location: In person
